The Natech experience can be summed up as a place where very smart people are excited to work together to make high quality products. When people join the Natech team, they tend to find themselves surprised by the high levels of responsibility and autonomy relative to previous work experiences. They must learn more and more quickly than before. They must adapt to deal with greater levels of pressure than they are accustomed. They must balance between the importance and excitement of their work.
Management Philosophy
Long-term quality can only be achieved through a culture of quality. This is why top management holds the ultimate responsibility for delivering quality to customers. Top management must create the environment where the quality systems produce quality products. This is accomplished through an enlightened management team and a supportive work environment.
We believe Management by Process produces long-term quality superior to Management by Command and Control. This may go against much of the current prevailing wisdom on management. This means employing Management by Knowledge of and Improvement of Systems instead of Management by Numbers, Management by Objectives, or Management by Results. Management by Respect and Empathy takes precedence over Management by Fear. Management by an Understanding of Intrinsic Motivation yields higher quality than Management by Carrots and Sticks.
