June Employee Recognition: Avisai Fuentes

Avisai has shown me true leadership. He takes charge and is always willing to suggest ways to better Natech and production on the floor. He played a key role in helping to improve our Material Traceability Log and is well-versed in problem-solving. Avisai is a hard and consistent worker and he’s always implementing Natech’s goal of continuous improvement.

Q: What do you do at Natech?

I am a floorman so I’m in charge of mixing the plastic materials, putting color in the material, and handling the grinded material. Mixing the material and keeping the grinder, floors, and machines clean is my favorite part about working at Natech.

Q: How do you feel like you’ve grown since you first started here?  

I feel good because we learn more every day about different things and the different materials.

Avisai is very knowledgeable. He’s attentive to the small details and will bring it to my attention. He definitely has an influence on me and inspires me to continue to grow and look outside the box in areas of improvement.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?   

I spend almost all of my time with my girlfriend. We like to watch action movies on Netflix. I also like to spend time with my friends at barbeques.

Q: What motivates you?   

My daughter motivates me. She’s four years old. We like to go to the park and we watch TV together. She likes Mickey Mouse. I have family here and in El Salvador. I believe that every day we try to do things for the people in our lives.

Avisai is always ready to jump in and help the team. There have been occasions when I asked him to cover other shifts and he said, “I’m ready to work wherever you need me.“ To me, that shows dedication and commitment to the work. It’s good to know that we have employees with this type of mentality. He shows great efforts to improve himself and always shares suggestions that help improve our systems.

Q: What’s one thing that you can’t live without? 

I can’t live without my work and my family. And obviously food. Chicken with white rice and salad is my favorite and I also like Chinese food.

Q: What are three traits that define you? 

Peaceful, calm, and friendly.

Avisai has a very positive and friendly attitude. He always greets me with a smile, even when I know that he had a rough night on the production floor. The third shift (overnight shift) is not easy. That’s why I always consider the third shift employees true warriors.

Q: What are three traits that define Natech?  

Natech is high quality, a clean company, and it treats it’s employees very well.

Q: What are your values?  

My main value is responsibility. I try to work hard every day and respect everybody.

Avisai is always dropping new ideas on me. His contributions and dedication to continuous improvement help us improve our systems and update standards to make them more efficient.

P: ¿Qué haces en Natech?
Soy un técnico de piso, por lo que estoy a cargo de mezclar los materiales plásticos, poner color en el material y manipular el material triturado. Mezclar el material y mantener limpias la amoladora, los pisos y las máquinas es mi parte favorita de trabajar en Natech.

P: ¿Cómo sientes que has crecido desde que empezaste aquí?
Me siento bien porque cada día aprendemos más sobre diferentes cosas y los diferentes materiales.

Avisai está muy bien informado. Está atento a los pequeños detalles y me lo llamará la atención. Definitivamente tiene una influencia en mí y me inspira a seguir creciendo y mirar fuera de la caja en áreas de mejora.

P: ¿Qué le gusta hacer en su tiempo libre?
Paso casi todo el tiempo con mi novia. Nos gusta ver películas de acción en Netflix. También me gusta pasar tiempo con mis amigos en las barbacoas.

P: ¿Qué te motiva?
Mi hija me motiva. Tiene cuatro años. Nos gusta ir al parque y mirar televisión juntos. A ella le gusta Mickey Mouse. Tengo familia aquí y en El Salvador. Creo que todos los días intentamos hacer cosas por las personas en nuestras vidas.

Avisai siempre está listo para participar y ayudar al equipo. Ha habido ocasiones en las que le pedí que cubriera otros turnos y me dijo: “Estoy listo para trabajar donde me necesites”. Para mí, eso demuestra dedicación y compromiso con el trabajo. Es bueno saber que tenemos empleados con este tipo de mentalidad. Muestra grandes esfuerzos por mejorarse a sí mismo y siempre comparte sugerencias que ayudan a mejorar nuestros sistemas.

P: ¿Cuál es una de las cosas sin las que no puede vivir?
No puedo vivir sin mi trabajo y mi familia. Y obviamente comida. El pollo con arroz blanco y ensalada es mi favorito y también me gusta la comida china.

P: ¿Cuáles son los tres rasgos que te definen?
Creo pacífico, tranquilo y amistoso.

Avisai tiene una actitud muy positiva y amistosa. Siempre me saluda con una sonrisa, incluso cuando sé que tuvo una noche difícil en la planta de producción. El tercer turno (turno nocturno) no es fácil. Por eso siempre considero a los empleados del tercer turno como verdaderos guerreros.

P: ¿Cuáles son los tres rasgos que definen a Natech?
Natech es una empresa de alta calidad, una compania limpia y trata muy bien a sus empleados.

P: ¿Cuáles son sus valores?
Mi principal valor es la responsabilidad. Intento trabajar duro todos los días y respetar a todos.
