| Gerd Nagler, Chief Executive Officer: |
|
Gerd Nagler, a Master Tool Engineer classically trained in Germany, started Natech Plastics is late 1998, the latest in a career of entrepreneurial successes and once again predicated on quality processes and products. After immigrating to the United States from Northern Bavaria he started his first business in 1972, Prescott Metal Corporation, specializing in tool-making and precision machining. His first injection press was purchased in 1978, when the industry was in its relative infancy.
In 1989, a French cosmetics packaging company that desired a manufacturing presence in the US, Augros SA, purchased Prescott after a successful 2 year subcontracting relationship. Augros of America was formed in which Gerd maintained a significant equity interest, and the title of President of Manufacturing. Upon completion of his contractual term and divestiture of his interests in 1997, Augros of America had grown from $4 to over $20 million in annual sales. |
| A desire to continue his life’s work, and a conviction that the best was yet to come inspired Gerd to found Natech Plastics, Inc. |
| Thomas Nagler, President: |
|
Thomas, Gerd’s eldest son, joined Natech Plastics in December of 1999 as the Business Development Manager. In May of 2004, Thomas was named president after having demonstrated his strategic thinking in numerous company-wide initiatives including: development of a Quality Management System certified to ISO9001:2000, creation of custom relational database to control all business / technical processes Natech, and marketing strategy implementation.
Prior to Natech, he worked in the New York office of Marubeni Corporation, one of Japan’s largest Shogo Shosha (trading company), as the Sales Manager-Ferrous Metal Products. In addition to controlling a budget of over $20 million in annual sales, primarily to Tier One automotive manufacturers, Tom served on the SAP Implementation Team for US Operations as the product group representative. |
| Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Long Island University’s CW Post Campus, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and is working toward a second Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering at SUNY Farmingdale. |
