Having learned his craft in Germany as a master mold maker, our founder built Natech on the ethos of precision and quality. Our internal moldmaking capabilities are complemented by a stable of quality domestic mold makers.
Made in the USA – Whether built internally or by our partner moldmakers, all Natech molds are manufactured domestically using both traditional and contemporary moldmaking techniques.
Mold Design – All Natech molds are designed to run automatically by efficient design of ejection, cooling, and degating systems. Mold designs are supported by mold flow analysis, cooling analysis, deflection analysis, and finite element analysis.
R&D Molds – Natech engineers are masters of insert configuration and design single-cavity R&D molds with steel inserted areas. Interchangeable plates, inserts, and sub-inserts allow for more rapid design iterations at lower cost than creating new molds for each feature variation. SPI Class 103 and 104 molds are constructed from P20 and Aluminum with hot runners and cold runners.
Production Molds – High-cavitation SPI Class 101 and 102 molds are constructed from hardened steel. Cold, runner, hot sprue, and hot runner molds are designed with up to 128 cavities.
Mold Maintenance Plan – Each mold undergoes regular cleaning and review at predefined intervals based upon the number of setups and cycles. The Maintenance Plan for injection molds defines the frequency of Mold Inspections, General Mold Maintenance, Major Mold Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance.
